OHS senior Brooke Galloway receives another prestigious honor, this one representing the greater Kalamazoo area.

At the 33rd annual YWCA Women of Achievement awards dinner, five young women were also honored. Otsego senior, Brooke Galloway, was among those five high school students given the Young Women of Achievement Award.  “It is very humbling and I’m very proud,” she says of the honor.

Earlier this year, Brooke was selected by the Otsego High School staff as the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) Good Citizen Award recipient for her dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.

The YWCA Young Women of Achievement Award recognizes girls who are leaders, volunteers, good role models and do well academically. Brooke received her award along with the other four young women on Thursday, May 11th along with the five YWCA Women of Achievement award recipients.

This is the second year that an Otsego senior has been among the winners of the Young Women of Achievement Awards. In 2016, Ashtyn Rankin won the award.
