It will be a sea of pink at Otsego High School on Tuesday, January 31. That when the 4th annual Pink Game takes place for 2012 benefitting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. And come expecting a lot of high-flying action. We expect some great basketball games as the Bulldogs face the Bulldogs from Vicksburg, but there will also be great raffle prizes and special entertainment guests.

The game is the culmination of fundraising efforts happening in the two communities over the next two weeks. The first opportunity is going on now - t-shirt sales. Click here for the t-shirt order form. The shirts this year are $12 for a short sleeve shirt, $15 for long sleeve and $30 for a hooded sweatshirt.

On game day, the Detroit Pistons Flight Crew comes to town. This basketball stunt group will hold an assembly for the elementary students during the day, but will also perform between quarters and at halftime of both the girls' and boys' game on Tuesday night.

In addition to the above fundraisers, you can donate anytime by stopping in the high school, or buy a raffle ticket the day of the game. There are great gift baskets as well as the game ball and more special items are in the works; we'll keep you updated and post the entire list when it is complete.

The game falls during Winter Homecoming Week in Vicksburg, so one of their spirit days is "Pink Day" and there's a penny war that will go on between its high school classes, all of which will go toward the Pink Game total.

The two schools have raised about $12,000 in each of the last three years; they hope to reach that total again this year. The check presentation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation will take place between the two games. All the action starts with the girls' game at 6:00pm.
