"Fiddler on the Roof" returns to OHS stage this year with a lot of excitement from the students and its team of directors. Fred Jacobs is directing this year’s play; he played the lead role of Tevye when it last hit the OHS stage his senior year, "I was truly ecstatic about the opportunity of Co-Directing for the Otsego High School Musical. When the decision was made for Fiddler on the Roof, I thought what an awesome experience to draw from having been Tevye in the production in 1993. I am truly proud to be an Otsego High School Alumni and am honored to be a part of this outstanding program."

He's not the only alum back behind the scenes, Patti Herm is choreographing the show just as she did last time and the costume designer is also back.

Vocal music director Taylor Gudbrandson was very excited to cast this musical; she chose it because it has a lot of parts, "This musical provides a lot of opportunities to showcase the students' talents," she says. There are 65 students on stage for the musical and about a dozen others behind the scenes working on the technical production.

Fiddler on the Roof is a musical about a family, with many traditions, and their journey as they grow and adjust when their traditions and customs are questioned and changed by themselves and their community.
